Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, you must state the reason for the refund and contact 84 Tours immediately. If your cancellation request is approved, we will initiate the refund to your original method of payment.

Refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days after the cancellation is approved. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

Cancellation Policy

At 84 Tours, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations and modifications to bookings made through our services.

Tour Package Cancellations

Cancellation by Customer

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to hi@84tours.com.

Cancellation Fees:

–  More than 60 days before departure: 10% of total package cost or not less than USD $25.00

–  45–60 days before departure: 25% of total package cost

–  30–44 days before departure: 50% of total package cost

–  15–29 days before departure: 75% of total package cost

–  Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of total package cost (no refund)

–  No-show or cancellation on departure date: 100% of total package cost (no refund)

Cancellation by 84 Tours

We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to insufficient bookings, force majeure events, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases:

–  Full refund of all payments made, or

–  Option to transfer to an alternative tour of equal or greater value

–  No additional compensation will be provided for incidental expenses

Air Ticket Cancellations

Airline tickets are subject to the specific fare rules of the issuing airline. Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the ticket type:

Refundable Tickets

–  May be cancelled according to airline policies

–  Airline cancellation fees apply

Non-Refundable Tickets

–  These types of tickets cannot be cancelled for a refund

Cancellation Procedure

All airline ticket cancellations must be requested as soon as possible. We will process requests according to airline policies, but refund eligibility is determined solely by the airline.

Hotel Reservations

Hotel cancellation policies vary by property and booking type:

–  Standard bookings: Typically, can be cancelled within 24 to 72 hours before check-in dependent on the hotel.

–  Non-refundable bookings: Cannot be cancelled or modified

–  Peak season bookings: May have stricter cancellation terms

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. Cancellation fees may be covered under certain insurance policies when cancellation is due to:

–  Natural disasters

–  Other covered events as specified in the insurance policy

Travel insurance must be purchased at the time of booking to ensure full coverage.

Modifications to Bookings

Tour Package Modifications

–  Requests must be made in writing at least 30 days before departure

–  Subject to availability and may incur additional costs

–  An administrative fee may be applied to all modifications

Flight and Hotel Modifications

–  Subject to supplier availability and fare/rate differences

–  Airline and hotel change fees apply

Force Majeure

84 Tours is not liable for cancellations or changes resulting from force majeure events including but not limited to:

–  Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, hurricanes)

–  Pandemics or health emergencies

–  War, terrorism, or civil unrest

–  Government travel restrictions or advisories

–  Supplier bankruptcy or cessation of operations

In such cases, we will work to provide alternative arrangements or refunds where possible, subject to supplier policies.

Payment and Refund Processing

–  Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Refer to refunds policy for details.

–  Bank or credit card processing may require additional time

–  Service fees and third-party charges are non-refundable

–  Partial refunds may be subject to administrative fees

–  Tour package refunds, hotel booking refunds, and airline tickets have separate processes and processing times. Refer to Refunds policy and Cancellation policy.

 

Special Circumstances

Group Bookings

Group bookings (10+ passengers) may have different cancellation terms. Specific policies will be outlined in the group booking contract.

Custom/Tailor-Made Tours

Custom itineraries may have unique cancellation terms based on supplier commitments and advance bookings.

Important Notes

–  Cancellation fees are cumulative and increase as the departure date approaches

–  Verbal cancellations are not accepted; all requests must be in writing

–  Date of cancellation is determined by when we receive written notice, not when you decide to cancel

–  Some services may be non-refundable once confirmed (e.g., visa fees, permit fees, special event tickets)

–  Unused portions of packages are non-refundable
